The abrasive holder, rest adapter makes it easy to place your holder rod in a stable, horizontal position where it rests on the center pedestal.  This keeps the stone out of the way when you are changing stones, looking at your edge, or anytime you pause during the sharpening process.  To use it, simply replace the stop knob that is nearest you with this high precision, CNC machined part.
